About Wayne

I am a child of the 60’s, born and raised on the east side of Detroit, MI. I am the youngest of 4 children, born to an Army sergeant father and a mother who could just as easily have been. There was a pretty big gap in age between my older siblings and myself, which they used to their advantage. My mother and father were too busy watching me to keep an eye on those three, a fact which they exploited on a regular basis. the parents were big into church, which meant, of course, that I was big into church. My father was attending Men’s Club meetings while Mom was rehearsing with (“drowning out”) the church choir. When I was old enough, and because I was loud and could read very well as a child, I was drafted into service as an acolyte, participating in more and more church programs and events, eventually becoming a worship leader and even delivering a sermon or two.

That experience prepared me for a life of public speaking and performance. In high school, a friend of mine was involved with the drama club, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I was kinda hooked from there! I began auditioning for community theatre and joined a local murder mystery theatre group, and for the most part, I loved it! Through these shows, I met people in the local film community, and I started doing little indie films. Most importantly, though, I met my wife. She is the support system everyone should have in their life for whatever it is that they’re doing, so a quick shout out to the Warden! She encourages me in everything that I do…writing, photography, acting, the whole thing. There is a listing called the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) that lists all the actors, crew, producers, directors…in short, everyone associated with every film or television/internet broadcast ever made. The Warden has a credit, and I have a total of 19 credits as an actor, editor, photographer, producer, director and host…now, that isn’t a lot of credits, but she and I can point to every one of them and say “yeah…we did that”! The most important thing about those credits is that they remind us that we can do it again, so believe me when I tell YOU that you can do it, too!

That’s why I’m here!
